My "Om" pendant I bought a million bajillion years ago at the Gypsy Market in Atlanta and the "love" charm the Husband bought me for HIS birthday last year.
Our very first family portrait after Lillie was born. I can't help but swell with love and joy when I see their little faces here. I can't believe Lo was only 18 months old when this was taken. He seems so grown up now.
Ollie Kickflip McTwist. Or as he's more recently been dubbed, "Scab-asaurus Rex." He's cranky. He has allergies and he's also a little neurotic. Ok. A lot neurotic. He licks and scratches himself till he's raw. He needs kitty xanax. His number one fear is balloons. Just ask my sister.
Very sweet family photo! And the cat...I had one of those once...she has gone to that Rainbow Bridge, but definitely neurotic! Love the pendants!
ReplyDeleteI think I love the portrait because it was the ONLY picture where my son was both sitting still and looking at the camera at the same time. At one point, our very patient and wonderful photographer, had to chase him around her studio with the camera because he decided it'd be funny. I wish the portrait packages hadn't been so expensive or I'd have gotten some of those as well. :)
DeleteI love that pendant! And family photos where everyone is looking at each other are the best.
ReplyDeleteI love my pendants too. :) I've been wearing this necklace with the "om" since, well, a million bajillion years ago. There are never any pictures without me wearing it.
DeleteYou have some wonderful favorite things. We have two cats and it makes me think all cats are a little neurotic!
ReplyDeleteI actually have a book called, "Is Your Cat Crazy?" Pretty much sums up all felines. :)
DeleteLove that family portrait!
ReplyDeleteThanks, lady!!! I'll be super stoked to have a new portrait of me half that size. :)
DeleteI'm in the market for an Om pendant, and am considering an Om tattoo. TMI? Sorry.
ReplyDeleteLove this post. Love the family portrait, love that your kiddos are so adorable. Love that your Ollie kinda looks like my Justice. And, consider Rescue Remedy for him. One of our friends introduced me to it - her cat has allergies (to CHICKEN!) and it a little wacky. A drop of this Rescue Remedy and she's a playing purring fluffball.
The Husband is looking into tattoo apprenticeship, I can't get ink (metal allergy, blah blah blah) but I bet he'd cut you a bloggy friend discount if you let him practice on you (HA!) I think I already twittered back that I'll be searching for some rescue remedy for Ollie. He needs help. In more ways than one!
Deletebeautiful pictures. love the one of your familY!

DeleteI have too many favourite things, either I am very easily pleased or too lazy to narrow them down. Great post, lovely photographs. :) xx
ReplyDeleteI have too many as well, but these are some of my top picks. :) Instagram is amazing. ;) It makes you a photographer! (The Husband is shaking his head, he doesn't agree, lol)
DeleteI love that necklace! So pretty! Great photos too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I never take the necklace off, it's pretty prominent in all my pictures from the past 10+ years. Thanks for stopping in. :)
DeleteI love the photo! Seeing you all look at each like that is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWe had the greatest photographer ever, if she were still around I'd be back there in a heartbeat spending all the kids college funds on her gorgeous work. :)
DeleteI am a new follower from the challenge. I love your Om necklace. Wow, you sire do have an awesome hubbie-giving you a gift on his birthday??!! Where do I find one life that?
ReplyDeleteHe gave me a gift on his Birthday for a good handful of reasons, let's just leave it at that. :) Sometimes it's nice to be noticed for all the hard work we do in the home, specifically when the kids don't openly appreciate it at their young ages! Thanks for stopping in! ((Also, no clue where you can find a Husband like mine, he's one of a kind!))
Deletenice post today. kaye—the road goes ever ever on

OH! I am always thrilled to have a new follower! Thanks for stopping in!!!
DeleteI think the family photos where everyone is interacting, rather than staring right at the camera trying their best to smile through the pain, are the best. And I LOVE the necklace! Always looking for something like that, but its never great unless it has a story behind it.
ReplyDeleteI loathe staged pictures, LOATHE them!!! We actively seek creative photographers to catch us in our element as I'd much rather look back at our family portraits and seeing us in "live action" style than "everyone say cheese" style.
DeleteThis necklace has many memories attached to it. I can't stand taking it off to wear anything else. I immediately put it back on when I get home.
Awww. Love all those pictures. What and adorable family. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks! If I were one of those mothers, I'd have little child models on my hands... but alas, I am not... that and I'm pretty lazy most days. ;)
DeleteHA! I love that your husband bought you a present for his birthday!
ReplyDeleteLove the family picture!
Thanks for stopping by my blog from Mama Kat's!
As I mentioned earlier, he's a keeper. :) Thanks for stopping by MY blog, lady!
DeleteWhat a gorgeous family! We may eventually be able to have a family portrait done. If Zane ever stops running all over, that is...
ReplyDeleteThey NEVER stop running. NEVER.
