The post that wrote itself.

For SEVEN YEARS I dated that guy. Seven years off and on, give or take, blah blah blah. When he wasn't acting very "Highschool Sweetheart" like, he was still my very best friend. His friendship is about the only thing I miss about him. Now I just get to live in the same neighborhood that traces the path of our relationship. Oy vey is right. I see his Mother every morning if not twice a day as she walks her dog. His Father still stops me in the grocery store to see how I'm doing. I still send them Christmas Cards because they still wish I was a part of the family. It was a very, VERY ugly breakup. As in, let's invite ALL of our closest friends and announce our engagement and I'll formally propose to you and then when I don't whip out the ring you picked out or do any of those other things, maybe you won't notice because I've got you SO drunk on the house wine maybe you won't notice. Did you notice? I STILL DON'T KNOW HOW I GOT HOME THAT NIGHT.

So anywhoooooooooooooo, when Mama Kat announced last week's Writing Prompts you best BELIEVE I thought this was the number once choice. Better yet, I let my friends who aren't bitter about this jackass at ALL write this post for me. Without further ado:

My Sister (the last screen shot) was right... Now I *do* have a badass Husband and 2 children that I love more than life itself. Score one for ME!

  1. Forget about scoring one for you. One badass (handsome) husband, and 2 kids you love more than life itself? Score THREE for YOU!!

  3. What fun! I cringed a little and laughed a LOT. Honey badgers need love too, and it looks like you both fond it. xoxo

  4. LOL, funny you mentioned Honey Badgers. My number one search result under Google Stats is "Honey Badger Face." Not sure if I should laugh or be offended! We totally found love. :) Now if I could find a support group for him for "People who love People who think the world's going to implode."

  6. Okay, don't take this the wrong way, but your husband is a hottie. I think that you got the better end of the deal, all in all.

  7. Goosie, he is very much a character.

TMW, Oh, I'm totally used to the "hottie" reference. The first time I laid eyes on him (at 19 years old) I told myself I was going to marry him. At that age I was already in a serious relationship with dude from the first picture.
