Day 18. Eyes.

It's hard for me to think that this is the last weekend before my baby starts Pre-K. My heart strings? Have been tugged. I want to squeeze them both to pieces and never let them grow up on me. Even if he IS 4 years old and testing me DAILY. (If not hourly...)

  1. They grow up way too fast!! Love the eyes though. Just beautiful.

  2. I love that you can see their little souls in these pictures. Lo is all laughter and yet so sensitive, always seeking praise and love. Lillie is SASSY, but an old soul... she questions EVERYTHING.

  3. Oh they are so sweet. It is hard to let them go, I am dreading the day. I think I will be a psychotic wreck, I just know it.

  4. I read somewhere after my first (Lo) was born, that from the minute a child is born they are learning to live without you. It's true! They are more independent every day. While I'd love to Home School them, they've always loved the idea of GOING to school. With a teacher and their "friends." I'm taking it on a yearly basis. If they don't thrive in school, I'll teach them myself. Plus, what on EARTH am I going to do without my baaaaabies here for 3 hours a day 3 days a week? *GASP* Does this mean I can actually CLEAN or do my work??!?

  5. I feel the same way about my kiddos. My oldest just started Kindergarten yesterday... I'm giving it until December to see how she does. I'd rather just homeschool her but she is very into the whole 'going' to school thing. The house seems so empty without her constant bossing, I mean, chatter. ;) She's gone for 7 hours a day... 7!!! I'm counting down the minutes until I can go pick her up!

  6. We live in an area where we are lucky to have some good schools in an otherwise questionable system (currently, it's normally a VERY good system.) So I sit on the fence as to whether or not I REALLY want them to go to school where, SERIOUSLY? 7 HOURS? That's a work day! And I know that in this day and age, that's the reality of it, but... SEVEN WHOLE HOURS? They are still my babies... or have them at home where right now, they DON'T want to be. At least one of them anyways. This can all be debated till both sides are blue in the face, but like you said... Both my kids are very much into the idea of going to school and having a teacher there with all their friends for a FEW hours at a time for me to really consider the "cons" of the argument.
