Day 6. Books.

To be honest, I think I might need more bookshelves. Bet you thought I was going to say I need more books. HA! The Husband would skin me alive if I brought more books into our house. I'm saving all my crack... I mean... book money for a HOUSE. Sad part? There is no part of our budget just for books... soooo... take THAT however you want.

The above image? Is maybe a 5th of that bookshelf and doesn't even give you a good idea of what the OTHER 3 bookshelves look like. Nor does it show you the two vegetable boxes of books sitting next to this shelf. Or the other boxes hidden underneath all our crap in storage.

I might have a problem.

  1. If books is your only addiction, your husband should be grateful! :)

  2. Alas, it is NOT my only addiction. I'm also a paper junky. I can't go into any craft store without spending my ice cream money on pretty papers. :/ I'm a ModPodgeaholic. Paper is my THING. So I'm guessing if you want to categorize my addiction it's paper in general. Wrapping paper (I'm the WRAPMASTER at Christmas), good ol' fashioned books (no Kindles for THIS girl), and any kind of craft involving paper of ANY kind.

  3. I can identify. Yesterday I finally put four bags of books in the back of the truck to be donated. I could barely stand putting those CLASSICS in the bags. But, alas, the living room floor was filling up with stacks that no longer fit in the shelves. :)

  4. Oh no, not the CLASSICS! I would give up a collection in a paperback series up before giving up my classics.

  5. Books, my one addiction, too!!! I love this photo :) When I married my husband, we got a moving truck to pick up my things and there were 26 boxes of books that were moved. My husband was shocked! Thank goodness we were already married :)

  6. Not quite at 26 boxes, but pretty bad (to me) at least. We have a couple of good used book stores here so I try and be a good little book addict and at least take some back that I know I'll never read again (or don't immediately want to share with someone I love.) My Husband has the same book addiction I have, just not to the extent of my "problem." When we first moved in together, he pretty much only brought the clothes on his back and a few boxes of books.
